Week 14: Drywall, Stucco, and the Front Door!
This week saw a flurry of activity both inside and outside our single-story home. Inside, the drywall process is nearing completion. The walls are now covered, transforming the framed structure into recognizable rooms. While some finishing touches remain, the bulk of the drywall work is almost done, providing a smooth canvas for the final interior finishes.
Outside, the stucco cladding is also nearing completion. This exterior finish adds both beauty and durability to the home, protecting it from the elements and enhancing its curb appeal. Seeing the stucco applied gives a real sense of the home's final exterior look.
In another exciting development, the front door has been hung! This marks a significant milestone, officially closing in the home and adding a touch of character. With the front door in place, the house is now secure and ready for the next stages of interior and exterior finishing. Stay tuned for next week's updates as we continue to transform our single-story house into a home!
