Week 7: Framing Details and Interior Layout

This week we continued with the framing process, focusing on the essential details that contribute to the structural integrity and final layout of our single-story home. With the roof and exterior sheathing in place, the crew turned their attention to the finer points of the framing.

We dedicated time to installing blocking between studs for added support, ensuring the walls are robust and stable. Headers were carefully placed above window and door openings, providing the necessary support for the weight of the structure above. These seemingly small details are crucial for preventing future issues and ensuring the longevity of the home.

Inside, the interior partition walls are now taking shape. These walls define the individual rooms, allowing us to visualize the flow and layout of the house. Seeing the bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas come to life is exciting as we progress towards the finished product.
